The Arc of Atlantic County has a long history of providing quality housing to people with I/DD. We believe that a housing solution is not complete unless the residents can interact with their neighbors and live fuller lives as part of a community. The Arc offers on-site support in supervised group homes, apartment complexes and independent living solutions.

Our case managers will help you when deciding on what community based option works best for an individual. Our goal is to ensure that the individual lives in an environment that supports their health and safety needs while also maintaining their expectations for family contact, transportation, a social life, and other important community connections.

People living in our housing programs will receive personalized services including:
• In home access to Direct Support Professionals
• Community integration
• Medical appointment support and follow up
• Medication management
• Transportation
• Support with activities of daily living
• Support with menu planning and meal preparation
• Support with money management including budgeting and/or entrustment

Community Based Shared Housing/Group Homes

Each home is shared by three to six people with like and/or similar needs who require on-site staff support 24 hours a day.

Apartment Housing with On-Site Support Staff/Supervised Apartments

Apartments are typically shared by two people who require access to on-site staff support 24 hours a day.

Appointment Based Support Services/Independent Living

This is the solution for individuals who can live independently, and yet still require appointment based support to help manage their lives. People who use this program may own their own home or share an apartment with a friend or significant other.
