Education/Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High school diploma or GED. Experience in working with developmentally disabled people preferred.

Essential Functions: Implement activities that promote skill acquisition that will lead to individual integrated supported employment.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing
with people supported, all levels of staff, family members and other persons in the community.

Judgment/Initiative: Must be able to use good judgment in dealing with people supported issues/emergencies, as well as staff related issues. Must work well independently and maintain a good working relationship with supervisor.

Other:

  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license with less than 5 points
  • Current Red Cross FA/CPR
  • Computer literate

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Create and maintain community connections (e.g. volunteer opportunities, clubs, etc.)
• Provide leadership and training in a team atmosphere to consumers and co-workers
• Create and implement monthly schedules based on the interests and talents of the consumers
• Complete required documentation on schedule and according to policy
• Know, understand and follow all Arc policies, procedures and practices as described in The Arc Manuals, DDD Supported Employment
