The Arc of Atlantic County Holiday Partners Program helps bring smiles to grateful families during the holiday season. Generous community partners support the program by providing holiday meals, purchasing gifts, making a monetary donation and/or volunteering their time to wrap and deliver presents.

The program supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families who would otherwise go without. All recipients live in Atlantic County, have a financial need, and receive support and services through The Arc of Atlantic County.

Your gift of $50 will provide a Thanksgiving or holiday meal to a family in our community. Donations of grocery store gift cards are also appreciated.

Adopt a Family by purchasing presents for individuals and families who would otherwise go without. Lists provided upon request or shop our Amazon Wish List.

The holidays are supposed to be special, but for Lydia, a single mother of four living in Mays Landing, the season has been marked by sadness.

Her daughter Ella has an intellectual disability and a feeding tube that requires around the clock care. Lydia is unable to work and relies on public assistance to support her family. With no money leftover for gifts, Lydia struggles to buy presents to put under the tree.

Through tears, Lydia called The Arc of Atlantic County for help. Jen, a support coordinator, was able to connect Lydia and her daughter to specialized services and medical care, and matched her with a Holiday Partner who gifted the family with a Thanksgiving dinner and presents for all the children.

This year, Lydia looks forward to the holidays and the smiles on her children’s faces as they unwrap presents on Christmas morning.
