The I. The event will be held on Stockton’s Bay course and is an open invitational amateur foursome competition which brings together business partners of the Philadelphia based I. Rice & Company and local supporters of The Arc of Atlantic County.
“For the last decade, I. Rice & Company has supported The Arc of Atlantic County by sponsoring the Golfing for Good Invitational Tournament,” said Irv Singer, Tournament Director. “In celebration of ten years of dedication to people with I/DD, we’re excited to add The Arc of Atlantic County Pro-Am to add a new twist to our golf tournament and also hopefully increasing awareness of The Arc’s mission to improve the lives of people with I/DD in our community,” Singer added.
The I. Rice Golfing For Good Tournament began when golfing buddies and Margate residents, Steve Kuhl and Irv Singer, decided to pool and tap into their resources to make a meaningful difference in their community. They did this by enlisting the support of many friends and business partners and brought them together for a fundraising day of golf.
“I. Rice is proud to support The Arc of Atlantic County and the valuable work they do,” said Steve Kuhl, President and CEO of I. Rice and Company. “Over ten years we have raised an amazing $617,000 for this worthy cause. The funds we raise support recreation and sports programs providing people with I/DD, giving them opportunities to learn new skills but to also have an active and inclusive role in the local community.” Kuhl commented.
“The Arc of Atlantic County is honored to have a long-standing friendship with Steve Kuhl and Joe DiMedio of I. Rice and Company and the wonderful support they have made to The Arc of Atlantic County over the last ten years,” said Scott Hennis, CEO of The Arc of Atlantic County. “I truly hope that this major event generates interest and awareness among the public about what The Arc of Atlantic County does and the ways in which we support people with I/DD and their families.” Hennis added.
